Risk Assessments
Every company is under a statutory duty to carry out an assessment of risks present in its workplace. If you employ 5 or more people, then this risk assessment must be in writing. Legislation also requires that it is performed by a 'competent person'. The assessment must cover all of the business activities to identify any hazards involved, the likelihood of those hazards causing harm, and the steps taken to minimise the risks.
